These cherry tomatoes have a bit of a history, and it is not all pretty. According to a family friend, who is quite knowledgeable when it comes to plants, this particular kind of cherry tomato has adapted to our part of the world and essentially become a bit of a weed. It’s seeds germinate with no effort at all, so wherever you drop a tomato, you can expect to have ALL the seeds turn into a plant. This makes these cherry tomatoes a problem, especially if you are like me and you let one grow within the confines of your vegetable garden and now they just keep coming back. My mother loves the taste, but I find them incredibly tough and bitter. On the morning that I took this photo, the light was bright and perfect and it turned into an image that I love, and have in my kitchen.

Kitchen wall art in South Africa can be quite bland and boring, but if you print and framed this one in a white frame, it will add a pop of personality to the heart of your home.
